The Nightlife Industry has only recently started to utilize social media tools. Many currently use it to broadcast events, parties, and causes; however few are harnessing social media’s ability to engage their audience. These digital tools lift the veil from nightlife, increase transparency, and disrupt the role of exclusivity. Will exclusivity be replaced by experience? Will we become content producers – live-streaming our events and big-name DJ sets? How will we adapt to this new environment? During last week’s Social Media Week, SoundCTRL & Vikas Sapra put together an informative panel at Dominion Theatre featuring Michael Gogel (Nightlife Week), Steve Lewis (BlackBook Magazine), Steven Rojas (GrandLife Hotels) and myself as guest panelists. Very cool stuff… and an honored to be asked to be part of it. Read more here.

It’s fashion week here in NYC and I’m excited to once again team up with my good friends at StyleCaster.com to bring you this musical treat: Sounds From The Front Row 5. The first four volumes in the series have solicited rave reviews… and I think this one is the best yet! The mix features artists like Little Dragon, The Knocks, Flight Facilities and Silver Medallion, as well as the debut remix from my new production ensemble, the Brooklyn Penguins. To get the beats of Fashion Week for youself, download StyleCaster and myself’s ambitious mix of indie, hip hop, soul and more here on my music page or visit Stylecaster!

Back from Indiana… Superbowl was insane. Insane insane insane. Look for a recap on that soon. Meanwhile… two exciting new press pieces I’d like to share with you. Bloomberg Businessweek did a cool little piece featuring me and one of my biggest Superbowl events… Madden Bowl. As someone who considers himself a businessman and entrepreneur first (and a deejay second), it’s honestly a thrill seeing my name in Businessweek. AM/NY also did a great 5 question interview with me this week in time for Fashion Week. As someone who spends entirely too much time online, you kind of forget how many people actually read newspapers. Until you’re in one. Shout out to Brandsway Creative, my amazing PR company. Read the articles here.
