This week is the kickoff of another season of the Heineken Red Star Soul
concert series, and I am very excited to be a part of it once again.
This year, I’ll be doing three exciting dates, as well as some after-parties,
so stay tuned when the excitement hits your city. Obviously, between
myself and my peers (D-Nice, Beverly Bond and DJ Cassidy), the music will
be right no matter what city you’re in.
And of course, no Red Star event is complete without a hosting presence
from the lifestyle specialist, Kenny Burns. Take it away, Kenny…
“Being the host of the Heineken Red Star Soul Tour has made many a moment
for me, but I think the all time moment was in Cleveland, when we honored
the legendary Eddie Levert. As I handed Mr. Levert his Heineken Independent Award, I couldn’t think of the record that I wanted to send him off with…and sure enough Mick Boogie came through with “For The Love Of Money” and Eddie started performing… and I got to rock with him…CRUCIAL! A deejay like Mick Boogie understands music isn’t just about spinning records, but about making memories.”
The world tour continues…lol. Fresh off the road from LA (twice) and Calgary, today finds the MB team getting ready for our first Asian tour.
This week, you can catch me in Hang Zhou, China on Friday
and in Hong Kong on Saturday.
Check me out this Monday (June 30) at the legendary Mann’s Chinese Theatre in LA spinning live with the magnificent Jazzy Jeff at the exclusive Hancock premier. Hosted by Will Smith! Definitely one of the hottest Hollywood events of the summer. See you there!
Back from an amazing weekend in Vegas. The MGM Grand was crazy! Studio 54 was an amazing experience, and definitely one of the highlights of my year. Shout out to all my Vegas peoples… Dan, Dj Scene, Roctakon and the illest cabbie in the world… King Kong. Oh yeah, and I got married. Lol. Enjoy the video… a lil trip down memory lane… fun 90’s classics… shaky camera work done by future Best Director nominee… Rana.
